Ian Rigg Collection Updates

Last week I visited former player/committeeman/President Ian Rigg, after he had recently met up with Tony Morgan. Ian has kindly supplied me with some materials to add to the archives on this website.   They include a missing Matchday from 1983 v Geelong. I've also added an issue of Bulletin Board from 1977 (No.2) to the Library page. Welcome to Moorabbin City Soccer Club History

This site has been created to maintain the memory of the Moorabbin City Soccer Club. The CLUB HISTORY page contains an overall summary of the club's history since the foundation in 1949.  It contains the known records of the senior, reserve, thirds and colts teams from 1950-2002. They can be found in the SEASONS section. Many seasons results and details are incomplete, if you have any additional information, please get in touch. Research to complete the records is ongoing. Clicking on a yearbook or match programme cover will give you access to the full publication, which can also be downloaded to keep. There are also a few games which have some video footage available. The HONOURS page lists the successes of the club's teams in league and cup competitions. Photo Galleries and Other Updates

The piles of photos given to me be Thommo at the 2023 Golf Trip have finally been scanned and added to the galleries on the blog . The senior team photo section has had pics from 1952, 1975, 1978 & 1992 added. The reserves photo gallery has seen 1976, 1984 and 1996 added. The thirds photo gallery has been updated with pics for 1991 and 1997. A massive gallery has been added with pictures from a gathering at the club's regular pub, the McKinnon Hotel, in the 1960's. It can be viewed here . Another new gallery are some shots from the junior game between Moorabbin City and Croatia in March 1972, played at Cheltenham High School. It can be viewed here . Also now available are pictures from a game at Monbulk between the local juniors and a Moorabbin team. It is available here .
