This site has been created to maintain the memory of the Moorabbin City Soccer Club. The CLUB HISTORY page contains an overall summary of the club's history since the foundation in 1949.  It contains the known records of the senior, reserve, thirds and colts teams from 1950-2002. 1974 Match Reports by Steve Gregory

At the recent Moorabbin City Gold Trip I had the pleasure of meeting the legendary Steve Gregory for the first time. A four time club Best & Fairest Award winner (spanning 13 years) , he was also Metropolitan League Division Four Best & Fairest in 1983. He was also first team top goal scorer on at least eight occasions , as well a having been made a Life Member. He'd brought an exercise book of match reports he'd compiled for the 1974 season, the year of his first Best and Fairest win. He allowed me to borrow it for half and hour to take the photographs to make the following reproduction of the book (click on image for the PDF):   If only more of these had been made, or more tellingly, survived, the football statisticians and historians of Victoria would have a far easier task. Documents like these, apart from showing the love of the game and dedication to it, can spark memories that may otherwise become forgotten. Thanks Steve for sharing, and being the true club great...

Ian Rigg Collection Updates

Last week I visited former player/committeeman/President Ian Rigg, after he had recently met up with Tony Morgan. Ian has kindly supplied me with some materials to add to the archives on this website.   They include a missing Matchday from 1983 v Geelong. I've also added an issue of Bulletin Board from 1977 (No.2) to the Library page.
