Photo Galleries and Other Updates

The piles of photos given to me be Thommo at the 2023 Golf Trip have finally been scanned and added to the galleries on the blog.

The senior team photo section has had pics from 1952, 1975, 1978 & 1992 added. The reserves photo gallery has seen 1976, 1984 and 1996 added. The thirds photo gallery has been updated with pics for 1991 and 1997.

A massive gallery has been added with pictures from a gathering at the club's regular pub, the McKinnon Hotel, in the 1960's. It can be viewed here.

Another new gallery are some shots from the junior game between Moorabbin City and Croatia in March 1972, played at Cheltenham High School. It can be viewed here.

Also now available are pictures from a game at Monbulk between the local juniors and a Moorabbin team. It is available here.

There is also now a Junior Teams gallery which I still have photos to add to. It can be found here.

A golf day in the 1960's also has it's own gallery of photos, which can be found here.

Finally the remaining photos have been added to a new Miscellaneous Mystery gallery. They await further identification of the people, events or matches involved before they can be added to the existing galleries or have new ones created from them. It can be viewed here. Any help in identifying people, places, events, times and dates would be greatly appreciated.

Two early 1980's videos have also been uploaded to YouTube. They require further identification before they can be added to the correct Season pages.

The first is a game at Victory Park, either seniors or reserves. It appears to be a 1-0 win for Moorabbin.

The second is a thirds game at Victory Park in the infamous Vigor kit which ends in a heavy defeat.

Once again, any help in dating these games would be greatly appreciated.

The other recent update has been adding the compilations of soccer pages from the Moorabbin News/Standard from my Melbourne Soccer blog to this site as well. It is found in the Library section, and it can be viewed here. This is still being worked on, I'm trying to add an extra year each week.
